My name is Angelina Colonna Calogero. For as long as I can remember I have been a ‘seeker’, looking ( and finding) God in all the nooks and crannies of life, mostly in nature, architecture and in the faces and gestures of people whose paths have crossed mine.
Photography allows, encourages, challenges me to best express those moments of grace. My camera is my journal, my companion, my contemplative eye. Very often a poem, a prayer, a meditation, sacred scripture, inspire me to ‘vision’ it in a photo- sometimes it works the other way around. Christine Valters Painter, Ph.D calls it “Visio Divino”, much like the Christian tradition of ‘Lectio Divino”
I welcome you to see what I see and to share your own focus.
Meister Eckhart wrote: “The eye in which I see God is the same eye in which God sees me. My eye and God’s eye are one eye, one seeing, one knowing, one loving.”
